Study Tips to Help You Pass Your Exams
Posted: 24th May 2013
Part of university life is regularly taking exams and handing in assignments. Exams are acknowledged as one of the best ways to check whether you have learned something from your classes. It is also to assess whether you have learned enough to get to the next level of learning.
Whether it's your first time or not, here are some study tips that could help you make the most out of your exams.
- Listen attentively. More than study tips, what you need most is to get as much as you can from lectures. Take notes at every opportunity and ask lots of questions if you don't understand something.
- Look back to your notes. Read over all of the notes you have taken to refresh your memory about the lesson contents.
- Find a comfortable set up whilst studying. Do you like studying alone or in a group? Do you prefer to study in your dorm, or at the cafeteria? Do you prefer mornings or night times? Find what works best for you and do that. If you are comfortable while studying, you would have a more positive environment to study, and would help retain information much better.
- It is best to try and study earlier for the exam, so when the exam time is near, you would just need a few hours to refresh our memory of what you just studied.
If you are residing at UniCentral Student Accommodation, it's even easier to study. We are literally adjacent to the University of the Sunshine Coast so there will be no lengthy trips back and forth ensuring you have all the study materials.
