Midsummer's Day Celebrations
Posted: 21st June 2013
Although it was a cold and rainy day here at UniCentral on 21st June 2013, our Swedish guests celebrated in style for their Midsummer's Day. Midsummer is especially important in the cultures of Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltics where it is the most celebrated holiday apart from Christmas and New Year's Eve. This traditional celebration of the high point of Summer involves dancing around maypoles, flower decorations and family gatherings. Our Swedish guests celebrated with lots of flowers and games.
